Assisting Doctors, Nurses, Midwives and general health practitioners in clinics and hospitals here in Africa with limited resources provides an engaging environment for learning new things while contributing to health delivery in Ghana. Your energy, and your presence are exciting for the community and invigorating for the local practitioners
You don't have to be a professional health worker to join Ghana Medical Volunteers program. We work with Professionals in the medical field as well as  Pre-med students and Medical Students on our volunteer/internship program. 

To be accepted into our program, below minimum requirements must be met

1. At least age 18 (no maximum age limit);

2. Appreciable knowledge in English language

3. Strong commitment to values and principles of volunteerism;

4. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;

5. Ability to adjust in difficult living conditions;

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

7. Must have strong support for Millennium Development Goals

8. Must be abreast with health related issues and Medicine
